We will miss meeting many of you this year at the now cancelled IMTS show in Chicago! As a premier manufacturing technology show in North America, IMTS is for us a fantastic venue for meeting new and returning clients and for showcasing Novacam’s latest measurement capabilities. Covid-19 pandemic sure plays hardball this year – across industries and world-wide!

IMTS 2018 drew a record registration of 129,415 people and featured 1,424,232 sq. ft. of exhibit space representing 2,123 booths and 2,563 exhibiting companies.

… But demand for inspection automation is increasing

We see that demand for automated inspection in manufacture facilities is on an upswing since spring 2020.  Under current Covid-19 work conditions, manufacturers find that automated inspection ensures continued quality control while allowing for safe personnel distancing.  In many facilities, manual gauges or relatively slow CMM measurements are being replaced by faster and often inline automated measurements. This is where Novacam metrology systems shine.
