Novacam systems are based on low-coherence interferometry (LCI) and are capable of measuring dimensions as well as roughness, defects, and\/or thickness with micron precision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe boost in acquisition speed responds to increasing demand for faster and denser surface scans, such as for measurement of dimensions, roughness, and defects on all kinds of surfaces \u2013 automotive valves and couplings, threaded orthopedic implants, jet engine turbine blisks, electronic industry CMP pads, precision-machined cutting tools, barrels, and so on,\u201c said Vuk Bartulovic, President of Novacam.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese are not photos our systems are capturing and interpreting \u2013 rather they are very dense point clouds of 3D measurements that provide precise and timely surface-mapping information to manufacturers. Unlike CMMs\u201d, continued Vuk Bartulovic, \u201cNovacam systems with their small-diameter fiber-based probes are easily integrated in automated inspection stations right on high-volume production lines. They enable 100% inspection of manufactured components.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 100 kHz speed applies to all Novacam non-contact 3D metrology systems, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.novacam.com\/fr\/products\/tubeinspect-pour-la-metrologie-de-lidentification-et-de-lodeur-des-tubes-en-3d\/\">TubeInspect<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.novacam.com\/fr\/products\/boreinspect-pour-la-metrologie-des-alesages-en-3d\/\">BoreInspect<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.novacam.com\/fr\/products\/surfaceinspect-pour-3d-metrologie-dimensions-rugosite-epaisseur-2\/\">SurfaceInspect<\/a>et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.novacam.com\/fr\/products\/edgeinspect-pour-la-metrologie-du-rayon-des-aretes-en-3d\/\">EdgeInspect<\/a>. The 100 kHz systems are available immediately and have started being installed at client sites this month.
