While \u00a0measurements in such tight spaces can be challenging for many instruments, Novacam 3D metrology systems obtain these measurements rapidly, in a non-contact automated manner, and with micron (and often sub-micron) precision.<\/p>\n<p>How is this done?<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-p41748-d8e78c638e7c47650fb00e2dd1a9e7c6\">\n.flex_column.av-p41748-d8e78c638e7c47650fb00e2dd1a9e7c6{\nborder-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;\npadding:0px 0px 0px 0px;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div  class='flex_column av-p41748-d8e78c638e7c47650fb00e2dd1a9e7c6 av_one_half  avia-builder-el-5  el_after_av_one_full  el_before_av_one_half  first flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding  column-top-margin'     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-jsuqh8wk-2e25b0531de7854748d67a7ba4e37273'   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h2>Small probes for narrow spaces<\/h2>\n<p>Novacam provides two 3D metrology systems for measuring inside diameters (IDs): the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.novacam.com\/fr\/products\/boreinspect-pour-la-metrologie-des-alesages-en-3d\/\">BoreInspect<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.novacam.com\/fr\/products\/tubeinspect-pour-la-metrologie-de-lidentification-et-de-lodeur-des-tubes-en-3d\/\">TubeInspect<\/a>.\u00a0 Both systems use small-diameter side-looking optical probes that come in a range of sizes and lengths. Here is an example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The TubeInspect was used to measure GD&amp;T straightness of two bores. The same goes for the measurement of other GD&amp;T parameters such as ID or OD roundness, concentricity, cylindricity, etc. But we will leave discussions of those parameters for another
