Une coupe transversale (balayage B) est obtenue en d\u00e9pla\u00e7ant la sonde de mani\u00e8re lin\u00e9aire sur l'\u00e9chantillon. La lumi\u00e8re est introduite dans un coupleur \u00e0 fibre optique qui divise le faisceau lumineux en deux bras (chemins), l'un dirig\u00e9 vers la surface de l'\u00e9chantillon, l'autre vers un miroir de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 balayage. Le d\u00e9tecteur capture ensuite l'interf\u00e9rence des rayons lumineux r\u00e9fl\u00e9chis par ces deux bras. L'interf\u00e9rence constructive est observ\u00e9e sous la forme d'un maximum d'intensit\u00e9 lorsque les chemins optiques des deux bras sont exactement \u00e9gaux. En balayant la longueur du bras de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour faire appara\u00eetre le signal d'interf\u00e9rence, le d\u00e9tecteur d\u00e9termine la position pr\u00e9cise du point de r\u00e9flexion dans l'\u00e9chantillon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interf\u00e9rom\u00e8tres \u00e0 domaine de fr\u00e9quence avec source balay\u00e9e<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(SS)<\/strong> utiliser la lumi\u00e8re d'une source laser \u00e0 balayage rapide au lieu d'une diode super-luminescente. Le miroir de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence est fixe. Le d\u00e9tecteur capture le spectre de la figure d'interf\u00e9rence dans le temps et convertit ensuite ce spectre dans le domaine temporel \u00e0 l'aide de la transformation de
